More Information:

The sport of falconry is the most regulated form of hunting in the United States of America.  Becoming a licensed falconer requires passing written examinations, facilities inspections and an apprenticeship under an experienced falconer that lasts a minimum of 2 years.   If you are interested in becoming a falconer please read more about it at the New Mexico Department of Game & Fish website (look under the Special Permit Applications heading).  We have also included a list of publications that all falconers should find important.
