New Mexico Falconers' Association Home
The New Mexico Falconers' Association is a loose affiliation of all licensed falconers and hawkers in the state of New Mexico. Membership is based solely on the falconer's maintenance of their credentials with the state and federal government.
Our annual picnic and raffle will be on August 29, 2015 from 11 AM til 3 PM, at Wildlife West Nature Park in scenic Edgewood, NM. For more info go to the News and Events page.
The sport of falconry is the most regulated form of hunting in the United States of America. Becoming a licensed falconer requires passing written examinations, facilities inspections and an apprenticeship under an experienced falconer that lasts a minimum of 2 years. If you are interested in becoming a falconer please read more about it at the New Mexico Department of Game & Fish website (look under the Special Permit Applications heading). We have also included a list of publications that all falconers should find important. If you have additional questions, email us at [email protected]
